Take up panic button until March 31
According to the order issued by the Delhi Government, this rule has been implemented from January 1, 2019 for new vehicles. At the same time, the deadline for putting a panic button in old vehicles is 31 March 2019. According to the Delhi Traffic rules, traffic police can seize the vehicle when no fitness certificates are held.
Rule was implemented by the Central Government last year
The Central Government had issued the order in April last year to install a panic button in the vehicles. Then this decision was taken in haste. It was not necessary preparation for this. For this reason it was deferred. Some time back, the Center again issued the order in this regard. Then there was talk of implementing this arrangement from January one.
Panic buttons can be installed here
Delhi Government has entrusted the responsibility of operating the panic button to the Delhi Integrated Multipurpose Transportation System (Demits). Demets has set up three companies to set up a panic button in vehicles. The Transport Department has authorized six other companies to install panic buttons. Soon these companies will be able to install panic buttons on the vehicles of these companies.
What happens is the panic button
Travelers will be able to use panic buttons in any emergency during the trip. On pressing the panic button, all the information including the location of the vehicle will go to the operation center set up by the administration. After this, urgent emergency service will be provided by contacting the traveler or driver.
